Snowflakes

I've been super busy working on lots of different things.  I've made lots of my dishtowels to sell.  I've taken a couple to French Camp, MS. They have a gift shop that is adorable.  The proceeds go to a boarding school for kids with different problems.  My dearest friend's son is there this year.  He has Aspergers. It has been a great experience for him.  I went with her to pick him up for the holidays and got to see all of the wonderful things they have to offer.

I've also finished Amanda's Kansas Dugout quilt.  I just haven't gotten a picture of it yet.  I'm now working on another quilt.  Can't wait to share it with you, but it's a secret. Shhh....

Well, I've never crocheted anything other than a border on a knitted project. But I saw these beautiful snowflakes on Martha Stewart. I just had to give it a try.  Just found a couple of tutorials for single crochet and double crochet and voila......

I tried 3 different mixtures for stiffening.  This very lacy one needed something very stiff.  Sugar and water didn't do it. Cornstarch and water didn't do it.  But, Elmer's glue and water did. It looks kind of peachy when wet, but dries back to the ecru color.
