I'm working on my second pair of socks out of this easy to follow book, Socks from the Toe Up. I love this book because it teaches you how to measure your foot to get the perfect fit for you. The book gives you different heel and toe options along with cute patterns for the sock. So, you are creating a unique sock every time.
I literally had never made socks before picking this book up. If you have some experience in knitting in the round (you know, using several needles not using a hoop) then you should try a pair of socks.
For this pair I have chosen the short-row toe and the gusset heel. And for the sock pattern dead simple lace.
